RON bills died: HB 1168 (2024, died in committee 3/5/2024) and HB 1154 (2025, passed House, died in Senate committee 3/4/2025). COVID-era remote notarization (2020 executive order/SOS guidance) has expired (unverified — expiration date not confirmed on a current official page). Max standard fee: "A notarial officer may charge a fee in an amount not to exceed Five Dollars ($5.00)" per notarial act (MCA § 25-34-9, eff.
