No — no registration with or notification to the Secretary of the State before performing remote notarization; no state approval or published list of technology/system providers

Cómo se identifica al firmante

Notary must "reasonably identify" the signer by one or more of (C.G.S. § 3-95b(b)(2); SOTS Notary Manual): (1) personal knowledge; (2) unexpired government-issued photo ID bearing photograph, name and signature (e.g., driver's license, passport) presented via the communication technology; (3) at least two distinct third-party identity-proofing processes/services verifying identity through public or private data sources (manual describes third-party ID verification systems using biometric data or unique ID numbers); (4) oath/affirmation of a credible witness who is physically present with the notary or signer, or communicates in real time with both, has personal knowledge of the signer, and is identified by one of the preceding methods. No prescribed KBA/credential-analysis standard

No separate RON cap — general $5.00-per-act cap applies: "the fee for any act performed by a notary public ... is five dollars ($5.00) plus an additional thirty-five cents ($.35) for each mile traveled" (SOTS Notary Public Manual; C.G.S. § 3-95). No audio-visual recording requirement — manual: "No, unlike in other states, the Connecticut law does not require the notary to keep a recording" (10-year retention recommended). Remote notarization prohibited for: wills/trusts, property sales/conveyances and real estate closing documents, health care directives, standby guardianship papers, powers of attorney (per SOTS manual)
